I've spent many years as a designer and animator, starting from way back when you had to cut ruby lith for colour separations (all you print types will know what I'm talking about)... for the rest of you it means a long time ago in a graphics house far, far away....
Currently I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up, but in the meantime I like to draw and paint a fair bit, the results of which you see here. I plan on ramping up my production in this area, as the past few years I have had quite a slowdown due to mounting pressures in real life (hence, you'll see a lot of older personalities in the portraits).
Computer 'painting' has come quite a distance since I first invested a box back in '98. I've recently discovered some programs that can really mimic natural media, and I love exploring that... though for me, nothing is more rewarding with a finished canvas.

You'll see a lot of pumpkins here. It's always Halloween at my house. Also a lot of celebrities... everyone says to paint what you like, so that's what I do.
I enjoy trying to get the hang of things, so the 'digital' art is all sorts of programs, and the 'traditional' art is all sorts of media. In case you're wondering what gouache is, it's form of thick watercolour that works really well with pencil crayons, in an airbrush or on it's own. Your factoid for the day.
I hope you enjoy your visit, and if you have any questions, feel free to email me at wendeeswork@rogers.com.
